Picking the right car for you
Posted on 20 April 2015
With so many different makes and models available to buy today, how do you know which vehicle is right for you?
Do you get a Toyota or a Nissan? NZ new or an import?
Where do you start?
Well, the best place is usually parked just outside - your current car. You need to ask yourself, "Why am I changing? What do I need in a new car that I don’t get from my old one?"
It might be that you need more seats, more power, something that is easier to park or better on fuel.
From here you can start to think about your budget, and if you need car finance, what you can comfortably afford to pay each week.
Then try and get the latest model vehicle you can that fills all your needs and fits your budget. Don’t get so hung up on if it is an import or if it has higher kms; later model cars tend to be safer, have better features and are usually more reliable.
Still have a couple of reservations about higher km cars or imports? Make sure you read about our 3 year warranty. As long as the vehicle you buy has travelled less than 175,000kms, it could qualifies for our 3 year warranty .
